When Grace Hospice Foundation decided to change their DBA to “Friends of Hospice Foundation,” I was honored to have the opportunity to create their new logo and branding elements.  

I’ve worked and volunteered with the Foundation for years.  In fact, “Taste of Grace”, the organization’s 2010 brunch themed fundraiser event, was the first event I ever helped plan. Friends of Hospice Foundation’s mission is to ease the pain of patients facing the end of their life and their families by subsidizing the cost of hospice care, and defraying the costs of special wishes and needs, for patients who would otherwise be unable to afford it.

For the Friends of Hospice logo, it was important that the logo had a modern feel, while bringing the warmth of connection and friendship.  I also wanted to incorporate the feeling of peace and calm that a good hospice helps those who are facing the end of their life.  Below is a description of the concept of the Friends of Hospice logo.  And if you would like to visit their website and learn more about their programs or to donate, visit
